Big Data to check Illegal Fishing

Big Data to Check Illegal Fishing Illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing accounts for a significant amount of over fishing. Each year the global IUU catch has been estimated to be 11–26 million tones that accounts between 7% and 17% of the total global catch. IUU is creating pressure on sustainability of production. If IUU continues there is a risk for food security and livelihoods of millions of people particularly living in coastal region. In such situation, big data application for sustainable fisheries may be useful in solving IUU fishing and over fishing in the open waters through locating vessel’s Automatic identification systems (AIS) that broadcast data on their location and movements. New technologies such as remote sensing and big data application can identify and control several areas of environmental and natural resource management leading to sustainability of renewable. Natural resources.

Even today many people think the mystical power of full moon induce erratic behavior, psychiatric, hospital admission, suicide, homicide, sleep pattern, birth of baby, emergency room call, traffic accident and all manners of strange events. The main objective of this review is to find out the effect of full moon on different aspect of human health. The study was undertaken Kumudini Women’s Medical College, Bangladesh during the period between June 2016 to May 2017. Here we summarized the...

Statistical Methods for Genomic Sequence and Microarray Analysis

Statistical Methods for Genomic Sequence and Microarray Analysis A.K. Roy1 and S.R. Martha1 1 Central Institute of Freshwater Aquaculture Kausalyaganga,Bhubaneshwar – 751 002,Odisha Multivariate analysis methods such as Correspondence Analysis and Principle Component Analysis have often been used to identify major trends of variation in synonymous codon usage among inter or intra specific genes. Genetic codes are degenerate meaning most of amino acids can be encoded by more than one codon (triplet of nucleotides); such codons are synonymous and usually differ by one nucleotide in the third position. The alternative synonymous codons are not used with similar frequency and their usage varies among different genes. Hence there is the presence of Relative Synonymous Codon Usage values. Post Demonetization Budget-2017- Expectations, Apprehensions and Reality: India's Budget-2017

Post Demonetization Budget-2017- Expectations, Apprehensions and Reality: India's Budget-2017 (Demonetisation Book 2)   Kindle Edition by  ajit roy   (Author, Editor) The Prime Minister's announcement of the withdrawal of ₹1000 and ₹500 notes ranks among the most significant economic measures taken by his government. The audacious move has given birth to hopes of a decisive blow to the black economy, terrorism and counterfeit currency. It is also being lauded for its potential to convert India into a cashless economy. The backdrop to the Budget was a fairly volatile past few months with multiple issues such as (a) demonetisation; (b) ambiguities on indirect transfer taxes; (c) treaty changes to India-Mauritius Treaty etc. Union finance minister Arun Jaitley stepped into Parliament on February 1, 2017, unveiled India’s first post demonetisation Budget. Many people have questioned if this move is the biggest disruption for electronic payments in 2016. Remone...

An Insight to Application of Computational Statistics and computational Biology in Bioinformatics

An Insight to Application of Computational Statistics and Computational Biology in Bioinformatics August 2012 In book: Applied Computational Biology and Statistics in Biotechnology and Bioinformatics Edition: 1 Chapter: ch-36 Publisher: NIPA,New Delhi Editors: akroy Project:  Bioinformatics/computational Biology Ajit kumar Roy Computation has become an essential tool in life science research. This is exemplified in genomics, where first microarrays and now massively parallel DNA sequencing have enabled a variety of genome-wide functional assays that require increasingly complex analysis tools. The problem of accessibility of computational tools has long been recognized. Without programming or informatics expertise, scientists needing to use computational approaches are impeded by problems ranging from tool installation; to determining which parameter values to use; to efficiently combining multiple tools together in an analysis chain...
